I'm a mesmer/necro and what I really wanna do for my build is take out casters by making them anexity to cast anything. So far I got a 3 pronged attack.

1. Back Fire - For 10 seconds they won't use spells or suffer the damage.
2. Diversion - 2 to 3 seconds before back fire ends, I begin to cast this to add on to another 6+ seconds
3. Guilt - Begin cast about 2 seconds before Diversion ends.

By the time guilt ends, Diversion is back up and running to cast again, and by the time diversion ends, backfire can be used again, and by that time i can repeat with diverision+guilt but its difficult to time.

My charater has been runned all the way to Dronks and i'm currently lvl 5. Anyone know any other spells I could use in the lvl 10 Arenas? ^_^

P.S. I came here because when I posted this on the Gwonline, I got spammed with "OMG YOU BULLY!!"

Looks good for level 10 arenas. I don't play PvE mesmers that often, but you should try to maybe fit in a "Power Spike" or "Power Drain" or "Power Leak" for interupts

You can consider 'Blackout', completely prevent them from casting spells for x amount of seconds. You have to touch the target though.

Like Cookie listed, try a 'Power ____' spell, the two you'd probably want to look at are Leak (Energy loss) and Block (Elite, but disables skills for x seconds).

Although not practical for a Lv.10 you could try a couple Necro elites that deals damage whenever they cast a spell, 'Soul Leech' (Steal health) or 'Spiteful Spirit' (AoE dmg).

Self-explanatory...low-level Arenas aren't the place to own people with tweaked-out characters. Go do Competition Arenas at least.

If you just get on with it youll be level 10 in no time... then you wont be able to play.

Just use backfire. Maybe cap mantra of recovery if you can (dont think so though). Then run it constantly. Everyone who wasnt run in lvl10 spams flare. At least, thats what they did several months ago when i last played pve -.-

There are plenty of threads here saying how much people are disgusted by twinkies in the lvl 10 arenas. Luckily for you the thread title makes it sound like you are a legitimate player so those people may be ignoring it...

I can only hope that anet will fix it so people like you can't ruin this game for new people coming in and people who want a change of pace that the lvl 10 arena can bring...

Actually, usually the complaints about Twinkies come in the Sardelac and Riverside area, that's why you haven't seen me lurking in this thread before!

If you can't take out the casters with the spells you have presently, and can't win with the Drok's armor you have, then... I feel very very sorry for you.

Mantra of Recovery is an easy cap in the south west corner of snake dance, north of camp rankor. You can also get Illusionary Weaponry south of camp rankor, there's a boss that spawn right down a little on the path. Combine it with blackout. Seriously, for level 10 arenas, you don't need anything but backfire and wastrel's worry. Almost no one has hex removal, and the people there are too dumb to know what mesmer spells do anyway.

Hmm one time I saw a monk there with spellbreaker, though.. that was funny.

Its not like you even need to twink out to own that arena,

I got a 33 win streak with a Ranger beastmaster in the europe ascalon arena when I hadn't gotten past the frontier gate (at level ten) we ended up with all four of us on level 11 before we lost.

Play it like it was intended, dont rush to get elite skills and armour.

Nah, he is asking for an invincible level 5 me/n Drok's rusher/doper build. The lower level arenas, as I will reiterate, is for lower levels.

You are correct, it is not going to "ruin" the arena, that's already been done by countless others before him. I just don't enjoy encouraging that.

<---Hopes someone drains those level 5 hit points in under 3 seconds with a nice helping of good old-fashioned Conjure Phantasm...

Don't forget to complete the two 15 point attribute quests. That's gonna add to you a couple of levels so account for that in your elite capping.

I believe you can do the one quest but not the other before ascension. This will require also being run to Sanctum Cay, run through the mission to the desert, run to Destiny's Gorge, run down to the Forgotten Wisdom snake for those attribute points.

All that running sound SO much fun, just to get more points for ASCALON ARENA!!!! Lame.

You realize that you are assisting Ice Blessings to be crippled by the time he hits the arena where the big boys and girls play, right? That he won't know how to win on a level playing field? That makes the entire player base suffer.

Not to mention the additional blow to the morale of new players who were thinking about doing PvP but will stay away because the other players seem so much better when they're not.
